Machab Youth Project

Empowering Northern Youth
for Positive Change

Machab Youth Project was born out of the burning desire to empower and uplift rural youth in the northern regions of Ghana, giving them the opportunity to rewrite the story of their lives. Our organization stands as a formidable platform for sustainable development and empowerment of these young individuals, as well as the society at large, by focusing on critical sectors that demand transformation.

At Machab, we firmly believe that the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and marginalization lies in equipping young people with the right tools – information, skills, and opportunities. We are driven by the firm conviction that when provided with the necessary resources and support, youth have the power to change their own circumstances and, in turn, the destiny of their communities.

Our visionary founders, a group of young individuals, came together with the unwavering belief that fostering self-driven, creative, and sustainable solutions is the path to meaningful change. By harnessing the immense potential of the youth in northern Ghana, we strive to make a lasting impact through strategic investments and innovative initiatives that revolve around entrepreneurship, agriculture, craftsmanship, peace, health, and education.

Meet the Team

At Machab Youth Project, our team is composed of dedicated and passionate individuals, each
holding specific roles and responsibilities to ensure the smooth implementation of our
initiatives and the achievement of our mission.

Anna Anyan

CEO and International Coordinator
Machab is the youth, it is the youth within the community positively transforming their own lives. This makes us more than just a platform, but an embodiment of young people, stakeholders and capable bodies with the vision of changing the narratives of lives and the development of society.

Darlington Anadem

Country Director
The youth represent a highly active and influential demographic, necessitating our active engagement to guide them in a constructive direction. Our approach, which we believe to be more effective, acknowledges the dynamic nature of this demographic force. Rather than opposing or obstructing their various endeavors, we seek to provide support and guidance from behind, thereby empowering them with a sense of control. This approach reflects our commitment to fostering their growth and development.

Rufina Anyamasah

Senior Operation Analyst
I find immense satisfaction in working for an organization that integrates gender equity and climate change into its core operations. It feels like we're contributing to more than just our jobs.

Rogatus Agominab

Empowerment is the only approach that recognizes and values all aspects of women's lives, including their productive and reproductive roles. It rejects any attempts to undermine their contributions to development.

Working with young people can be challenging, much like dealing with adolescents at home. We need to understand them and effectively communicate their needs to stakeholders. Our team must be flexible and proactive to connect with youth.
